Have you heard? And other thoughts...

We are having a baby! Another girl! How we got so blessed to have two little ladies I have no idea, but I'm beyond excited! My aunt Jaymi made this statement that brings tears of happiness more then anything I've heard lately, she said "You and Jed are giving Blaikley something neither one of you had... A sister!" Isn't that the greatest thing! I just love that!

On one hand, I'm a little nervous about the teenage years. Since I don't have first hand experience I can only go off the stories of friends and loved ones about the years of fighting over bathrooms, hair brushes, boys, and clothes, but I couldn't be more excited. The Lord must know how much help I'll need down the road and He is sending me the sweet little angles I'll need.

This baby is going to nicknamed Cricket until we decide on her real name (Jed's favorites are still Agnus, Behula, and Cricket. One is fine for a nickname. The others are fine for animals. I like Taylee so far but we still have four months to decide). Also I'm calling her Cricket because her little movements look and feel a little like a cricket bouncing around. Here's a few pictures....

This is Cricket at 17 weeks and 1 day

And this is at 19 weeks and 4 days. I'm now 22 weeks but haven't taken a picture lately. I'll get on that later today. And now a few pictures of Miss Blaikley!

I love that she has to have the hood up :)

She's starting to get her own sense of style and I LOVE it!

I took her in for her two year checkup and the poor little thing had an ear infection and a sinus infection :( oh she was miserable but still lovey and cuddly. She is a tall and skinny little miss though! She weighed in at 25 lbs (which puts her in the 25%) and was 35.5 inches tall (75%). She's definitely built like a Pugsley.

She's has been super funny lately. For her second birthday grandma Lisa and grandpa Mark gave her a play kitchen! And a few other cute things, like a stick pony and bubbles! But man does she love that play kitchen. She bakes her daddy and I good treats all the time (cupcakes) and has us eat them from cups almost every night (don't worry, it's all plastic toys that came with the set up, I don't let her bake by herself). Or she will make something pretend, put it on a plate and bring us a fork and 'swoon' (spoon). Grandma Sally and papa Wayne gave her a baby and a stroller and she pushes it everywhere e eryday. It's pretty adorable what a little mommy she is.

Blaikley is a very loving little miss and makes sure everyone in the room is included in whatever we are doing. She's super polite and says her 'peas' and 'hank you' (please and thank you) all the time. Blaikley is getting to be quite the talker, but her favorite is to copy cat. She repeats almost everything she hears and it's pretty darling. She is starting to want to count, but doesn't quite grasp it just yet. It's pretty much 'one, two, nine, four, nine.... Two, nine, yay!' Which is pretty adorable :). She's getting her colors down. But one of my favorite things is that SHE'S POTTY TRAINED!! She's not quite there with night time yet but she's getting closer. And she's only had one accident in the past week. Which, I selfishly get a little giggle with that accident. She got to go visit grandma Sally and papa Wayne for a few days last week (I'll post on that in a minute) and while she was there I sent panties and pull-ups. And since she's been mainly in panties for the last few weeks at our house, grandma kept her in panties at her house. Blaikley went with papa to irrigate the orchard. The orchard is down the field in front of the house. She walked all the way down by herself. And then she peed her pants :) big time. And the sweet little thing wound not walk back to the house. Poor papa had to carry back. And if you know papa and how anything potty related grosses him out you would be giggling too :)

This last week was our wards turn to clean the temple. Jed and I haven't had the chance to visit the Brigham City temple since we went through the open house and thought this would be a great chance to go through a session and then stay to clean. But the cleaning assignment went from 8:45pm to midnight on Friday night. Yikes! We still haven't found a babysitter and since we wanted to go down early I really didn't want to try finding someone who was new to Blaikley when it would be such a long night and would require bath and bed. Grandma Sally had to be in town Thursday, so she and uncle Brick came and got her Thursday evening and we picked her up Saturday. It was a good few days for both of us.

Jed and I don't go on dates very often. The last times it was just the two of us was our anniversary in March. So we took the opportunity to make Friday night a full date night, and it truly was wonderful. We had to stop at the bank on our way out and it took a little longer than we planned. The Bringham City temple also has a funny policy where you have to call ahead and schedule an appointed to do a session. When I called Wednesday they were full for the 5:30pm and 6:30pm sessions, and the 8:30pm would've been too late, but it was full too. I called again when we left Tremonton and they were still full so we decided to have dinner in Brigham City. We went to the Chinese Buffet since I had been craving Chinese for a while and it was DELISH! Definitely hit the spot. Afterwards we went to Shopko. Do all Shopkos not have a maternity section? The one down there didn't. But it was so nice to walk around and browse with Jed.

Then we headed to the temple. It truly is so beautiful. All of the windows are uncovered so a lot of natural light comes in and it's just beautiful. All of the following pictures are of the Brigham City Temple. All of the ones from inside of the temple are from the churches website lds.org. You can find more information regarding temples there or feel free to contact me and I'll answer questions as best I can or I can get you in touch with local missionaries who could answer your questions if you're interested in that. Enjoy these pictures and then I few thoughts to share before I close down this post.

When we arrived at the temple, we were asked to do sealings. Jed and I haven't done sealings since we were sealed together also we jumped at the opportunity. (Sealings is where a couple is sealed for all time and eternity. If you are also getting married that day, like with Jed and I, you are married and sealed together as husband and wife forever and eternity. If a couple is married outside the temple, our belief is that the marriage ends in death. However, as Latter Days, or more commonly known as Mormons, we believe marriage and families can tied together forever and when you are married and sealed in the temple, your children and all future children are also sealed to you. And when they grow up and get married and sealed, they remained sealed to you, but also get sealed to their spouse. This is how families are sealed together. If a couple is married outside the temple, they have the opportunity to be sealed to their spouse and children later. And any children adopted after a sealing can be brought to the temple to be sealed with their family. I hope this makes sense, but let me know if it doesn't and if I can answer any questions.). Anyway, in the temple, after we have completed work for ourselves, we do work for the dead. Baptisms for the dead is most commonly know, but families can be sealed through a proxy as well. It was an amazing experience, once I hope to participate in again soon. The spirit was so strong and wonderful. I lost it every time a child was sealed to their parents. Such an amazing opportunity.

After that we met up with our ward and were prepped on cleaning the temple. That was also an amazing experience. What a wonderful way to show our gratitude for temples and to perform service to our Heavenly Father. I did end up getting over heated and exhausted towards the end, but thankfully we had a lot of people for the ward there to help pick up where I needed to stop and we were all able to finish a little early. Also, the water from the fountains wasn't quite cold enough but the wonderful temple workers had some ice cold water hidden and we able to help cool me off and with the help of Jed, the workers and some great ward members I didn't have a full on MS attack, which I'm very thankful for. That would've been a little embarrassing.

Well, I think this is a long enough post and I better go take advantage of the rest of Blaikley's nap, shock she'll probably wake up in about five minutes or less :)

Loves!
